We sent every mayoral and council candidate in our municipalities the same ten questions about aquatic access. Answers are published in full and unedited. Where a candidate has not responded, we say so — a blank is information too.

This list is provisional
Nominations for the October 17, 2026 general local election have not closed, so candidates may still be added or withdraw. Names marked unconfirmed have not yet been checked against the official nomination list published by each municipality. If you are a candidate and you are missing from this list, or listed in error, please tell us and we will correct it.
How we run this
- Everyone gets the same questions. No candidate receives a different set, extra prompting, or an early look at anyone else's answers.
- Answers are published as written. We do not edit for length, style or content. If an answer is long, it is long.
- Non-responses are published too. We contact each candidate more than once and record the outcome honestly. Not responding is not held against a candidate as a judgement — it is simply reported.
- We do not rate or rank candidates. We publish what they said. What you make of it is your business.
- Corrections are welcome. If we have got something wrong, tell us and we will fix it and note the change.
